The election for new board members is on 09/21/2023!
I’ve lived in the community since 2001 (22 years!). When elected, my goal would be to bring back some freedom for homeowners by relaxing some of the outdated rules. Would like to make it easier to get architectural and vehicle approvals and also be less restrictive on what items are allowed. I will strive to only keep/create rules and regulations that homeowners want.
I am an original owner in the community and now own 2 properties within Gateway Ranch. Gateway Ranch has been my home for 23+ years and I want to serve my community by utilizing the professional skills that I have learned as an elected member of the Salt River Project (SRP) Board of Directors for the past 5.5 years pushing renewable energy policies to listen to community members and provide community services that the members of the community at large want and not individuals. As a software engineer for 23+ years working for large corporations like Intel, Microsoft, Phoenix Children's Hospital and many others, I want to modernize the HOA operations and utilize modern technology to allow community members to have a clear understanding of what is happening in our community and help nurture a sense of belonging to a larger "family" that is looking out for each other and not trying to penalize members for minor infractions.
I am running for one of the 5 board member positions. I hail from our 50th state Hawaii. I graduated from ASU in 1990 with a BS in Real Estate finance. I played professional golf for 10 years and have met and exerienced many interesting people and cultures. I now want to give back to the community I reside in. Thank you for your time.
My family and I have been members of the Gateway Ranch community since 2018. I promise to serve all homeowners with dignity, compassion and respect.
As a candidate for the Homeowners Association Board of Directors, I have specific concerns, interests, and qualifications that make me a suitable candidate. Firstly, I am concerned about financial transparency and responsible budgeting. I believe in ensuring that HOA funds are managed efficiently and allocated appropriately for the benefit of all homeowners. Additionally, I am interested in promoting open communication and fostering a sense of community within our neighborhood. With my experience in conflict resolution and community building, I can contribute to creating a harmonious living environment. Lastly, my strong organizational and leadership skills qualify me to effectively manage projects, address homeowner concerns, and make informed decisions on behalf of the community.
